Right off the bat, this school's website is so hard to navigate I do not remember it being this complicated when I went here. Stone Lakes Elementary was my elementary school for K-5th grade I remember mostly being sent home newsletters so it's interesting to see a lot of information on here. There are eight tabs on the main page being: Home, Academics, Clubs, Faculty & Staff, Media Center, Parents, School Information, and Students. I am able to look at things from lunch schedules and prices to the school's attendance policy. But it is extremely hard to navigate so I imagine it's a lot easier with a school login. School Website
I obviously expect a huge use of technology in my career although I am not sure what I want to do yet if I am working in a school I expect to use a lot of different platforms. I personally want to use plenty of communication tools in order to keep in touch with students and parents. In regards to communication with other teachers, I would like to create a platform for us all to correspond on, a place where we can share our ideas and at the end of the week debrief and hopefully destress. In order to keep up with my classroom, I plan to keep my computer very organized making sure I have thoroughly labeled everything instead of just having all my work in different places scattered around my computer.
PB works was a completely new platform for me and I am definitely still getting used to it and I don't know how long it will take until I feel fully confident using it. I feel in regards to group work a shared google document would have a lot less of issues with glitching and editing problems. But you would not have the ability to possibly make your work public through google docs. I feel that it just takes some getting used to you just have to be willing to try. I would consider using this in my classroom for the purpose of a group workspace we could update when new assignments come up or even a question forum for everyone to check in on and ask or answer questions.
