My use of Diigo so far has been limited but with what I have done I feel that it is useful for some things but other software seems to be more beneficial to me. Diigo is useful as a communication tool and information among groups of people while different software could do a lot more. This could just be because of my limited use of the technology though. It definitely does not seem as advanced as some other educational tools and websites I have used in the past so it has made it hard to navigate for me. I guess my best comparison would be trying to use Facebook as an avid Instagram user, I find that app extremely confusing.
So far I have enjoyed the experience with blog posts. I have never done something like this before other than discussion posts but this feels a lot different because I have all of my posts in one area and can look back on them which I have been. Sometimes I find it hard to get my writing going even if it is on a specific topic I need time to compile all of my thoughts so I guess that is something I dislike about it. Something I like about blogging is having a place to see all of my knowledge from the week and from the semester so far. I feel like I have learned a lot through this process like more about different tools and I have been able to learn more about this subject through this engagement every week.
I think that a really cool Web 2.0 tool to implement in a classroom would be Youtube. I have always loved Youtube and really understand how to use the platform and I think it would be a great space to use for extra information for students. I would want to create a classroom Youtube channel where I was able to privately share videos with my students on the content we are learning. Things such as tutorial videos, or a PowerPoint, or even do things like extra credit videos to make the kids want to engage some more outside of the classroom.
